Frequently Asked Questions

How will I get the keys or access the property?
Method: Keypad code or smart lock. Time: Instructions are emailed/messaged 24-48 hours before the check-in time.

What are the official check-in and check-out times, and is flexibility possible?
Times: Check-in is strictly 4:00 PM; Check-out is strictly 11:00 AM. Flexibility: Early check-in/late check-out is only available upon request and confirmed within 24 hours of arrival, often for a small fee, and is subject to cleaning schedule.

What is your cancellation policy?
If a guest cancels 60 or More Days before the Check-in date, The guest receives a Full Refund of the rental amount. If a guest cancels Less than 60 Days before the Check-in date, no refund is issued.

Do I need to clean the property before I leave?
No. We don’t believe in a long a list of chores. We ask that you load/start the dishwasher, take out trash, ensure doors/windows are locked, AC/ Heater turned off. The cleaning fee covers deep cleaning/sanitizing.

What should I bring?

For you: Personal toiletries, groceries, specialized gear (e.g., hiking boots). What's provided: Linens, towels, basic kitchen supplies, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and starter set of soap, toilet paper & paper towels.

Wonderful experience! Andrea with AMK property management is prompt and communicative. Homeowners on site are wonderful people. The apartment is central to everything in OB- truly amazing location. Very walkable neighborhood. Minutes to the beach or the Main Street full of things to do. The apartment is bright, light, clean, packed with all the essentials and plenty of storage space. Has WD in unit which is rare for the area. Also has AC which is a nice bonus. Don’t let the off street parking s are you off- I only had to park a block away in 3 months of staying here. Would 100% recommend staying at the seaside

Surfing Sapphire was perfect for our family spring break with our 2 high schoolers. The place was clean, well equipped and well decorated. We cooked several meals, but also took advantage of having the Fishery, Fig Tree Cafe and Leilani's just a couple blocks away. We also appreciated the beach chairs, beach towels and bikes (and when we had issues with a couple of the bikes, Andrea brought over replacements the next day). It was a straight shot down the alley to Tourmaline Beach. The rooftop made for several great nights in the hot tub, as well as movie night around the firepit. The overall location was a perfect jumping off point for trips to La Jolla, Torrey Pines, and the Zoo. We highly recommend and hope to make it back.

We loved the walkability - being walking distance to Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and a variety of local boutiques made our daily routine effortless. The blend of raw industrial elements with high-end finishes and appliances made cooking a breeze. They literally have everything including an air fryer. The open-concept layout made the loft feel even larger than its generous footprint. Two parking spaces was an added bonus. This is a great choice for the traveler who values architectural integrity and modern convenience. A flawless Hillcrest experience!

We had an incredible stay and couldn’t have asked for a better place near the beach! The location was perfect, just a short walk to the ocean, with easy access to great restaurants, coffee shops, and local spots. The home itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and exactly as described. Also, the private rooftop hot tub and fire pit were incredible and made the cool evenings especially enjoyable! The space was comfortable and thoughtfully set up, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It was quiet at night, yet close enough to everything to make getting around easy. The host was very responsive, helpful, and made the entire experience seamless from check-in to check-out. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and ideally located beach stay, this place is a fantastic choice. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!
